Every campus that carries an NAU chapter carries a promise — that no one who walks through it has to struggle alone. Our chapters are the heartbeat of the NAU movement: community-rooted, locally led, and built to create lasting change in the way people think, talk, and care about mental health — on campus, and beyond.

An NAU Campus Chapter is a community-led mental health and well-being hub housed within a college or university. Each chapter is run by a dedicated team of passionate individuals — coordinating events, facilitating peer circles, managing outreach, and building a campus culture where mental health is spoken about openly and supported actively.
While our chapters are campus-rooted, they are not campus-limited. A chapter's events, peer circles, and awareness campaigns can — and do — extend beyond college gates, reaching families, communities, and professionals in the surrounding environment. When you connect with an NAU chapter, you are joining something far bigger than a single institution.
Community ownership: Each chapter is led by the people who know their campus and community best — giving NAU its authenticity and making every initiative genuinely relevant to the people it serves.
Central support: The NAU Central Team provides training, resources, ethical oversight, branding, and professional networks — so no chapter ever has to figure it out alone.
Local impact: Each chapter is shaped by the specific culture and needs of its campus and surrounding community — delivering well-being programs that feel genuinely relevant to the people it serves.
National reach: Through inter-chapter collaborations and a shared platform, every campus chapter amplifies the collective voice and impact of the NAU movement across India — for people of all ages.
We collaborate with schools and colleges to deliver mental health awareness sessions, workshops, and student engagement programs.

Every chapter activity represents a moment where someone felt less alone, a conversation that shifted something, and a community that showed up. This is what NAU looks like in action — across campuses and beyond.
Starting and running a chapter is a meaningful commitment — and you will never do it alone. The NAU Central Team is built to make sure every campus chapter has everything it needs to thrive and serve its community well.
Every NAU chapter started with one person who believed their campus deserved better. Someone who looked around, saw people struggling in silence — students, colleagues, friends — and decided to do something about it. That person could be you. At any age. In any role.
Starting a chapter means stepping into one of the most meaningful roles NAU offers — Campus Ambassador. It means building a community from the ground up, developing real leadership skills, and leaving behind something that will long outlast your time in any one place.
You should be affiliated with or have access to a recognised college, university, or educational institution in India — as a student, faculty member, or staff.
No prior mental health or community experience required — just the drive to show up consistently and make a meaningful difference for the people around you.
Ideally a letter of support or willingness from your institution. The NAU Central Team will guide you through every step of navigating this.
Share your details, your institution, and why you want to bring NAU to your community.
Connect with the NAU team to discuss your vision and understand chapter readiness.
Get structured training, resources, and guidance to launch your chapter with confidence.

Every NAU campus chapter follows a structured leadership model — designed to distribute responsibility, build real skills, and ensure the community runs with care, consistency, and accountability at every level.

Manages external relationships — including institutional collaborations, partnerships, and connections with communities and other NAU chapters.
Oversees digital presence — social media, content creation, and storytelling. Shapes the chapter’s voice across every platform it engages with.
Recruits, trains, and manages volunteers — ensuring every member feels welcomed, prepared, and actively involved in the community from day one.
Ensures all activities follow NAU’s ethical guidelines and safeguarding protocols — maintaining a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
The heart of the chapter. They support events, participate actively, and bring energy, consistency, and life to the community every single day.

“You are enough. Exactly as you are.”
Whatever your age, whatever your story — there is a place for you here. Come as you are.
