NAU Saath is an outreach initiative by NAU — Now As You Are — that takes the movement's core belief in human connection beyond campus walls. We visit orphanages and old-age homes to spend time, listen, share stories, and create safe emotional spaces through simple yet profoundly meaningful interactions.
This is not about charity. It is not about performing kindness for an audience. It is about companionship — genuine, unhurried, undistracted presence with people who need to feel that someone sees them. That someone cares. That they are not invisible to the world around them.
Saath means "together" in Hindi and Urdu — and that is the entire philosophy of this initiative compressed into a single word. We do not arrive as helpers looking down. We arrive as human beings sitting alongside. Equal. Present. Together.
“This is not about charity — it is about companionship, empathy, and being present for one another.”

Around us, every day, people experience loneliness in ways that go unnoticed — not because they are alone in a room, but because the world has quietly stopped paying attention to them. NAU Saath was built for these people.
Many elderly individuals in care facilities experience deep isolation — surrounded by people, yet often feeling unseen and unheard.
Their stories, wisdom, and need for connection deserve to be acknowledged
Learn MoreChildren in institutional care may grow up without consistent emotional support or the feeling of being someone’s priority.
A caring and reliable presence can shape how they understand trust, belonging, and self-worth
Explore MoreMeaningful social connection — even in small moments — can reduce loneliness, lift mood, and improve emotional well-being.
A conversation, a shared laugh, a remembered name — these are not small things
Be Part of It"Sometimes, just being there is enough. We aim to replace silence with conversation — and distance with connection."
Every NAU Saath visit is thoughtfully designed — not rushed, not performative. Each interaction is created to build genuine connection and a lasting sense of being valued.
We host events, workshops, and programs that empower young people to learn, reflect, and grow. Our events are inclusive, interactive, and mental-health-focused, designed to provide practical tools and experiences.
All PhotosAnd together, we can make someone feel seen. Be a part of NAU Saath — spreading connection, care, and conversations to the people who need it most.
No experience needed. All training provided. Open to everyone who believes in the power of being present.
“You are enough. Exactly as you are.”
Whatever your age, whatever your story — there is a place for you here. Come as you are.
